Assistive Technology (AT) Purchases: If the reimbursement is for Assistive Technology (AT), you will need to complete our AT request form.Accessibility: If you are unable to complete these tasks, please contact us to discuss alternative options. We are here to assist you in any way possible.

No, the NDIS does not fund pharmaceuticals. The NDIA deems that the health system, including Medicare and the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS), is responsible for covering medication costs.
The NDIA funds supports that help with daily activities and ongoing functional impairments. This does not include medications, even if they are beneficial for your disability.

PACE FAQ’s
-
PACE is the new system that the NDIS launched in late October 2023, replacing the PRODA system. The goal of the new system is to improve the NDIS experience for participants and providers, delivering the best possible support to them, their families, and carers.
-
The key changes coming with PACE include updates to the support types and categories, and how the NDIA interacts with participants throughout their plan journey. Please be aware that these changes only apply when you are moved onto the PACE system.
New NDIA changes with your new PACE Plan:
New annual ‘Participant Check-ins’, where the NDIA will contact you to see how your plan is going and make sure you’re happy with it.
You will only need to attend a plan meeting if your new plan is different to your current plan.
There are new optional plan implementation meetings designed to help you get your plan started and ensure it’s working in the right way. These meetings are optional—you can choose whether to participate or not.
-
PACE isn’t changing everything. The following will remain exactly the same:
Your supports are not changing (although they may have a new name).
The fundamental structure of NDIS Plans.
Item Support Numbers.
The NDIS Act.
The registration process for providers.
NDIS Commission obligations, including Practice Standards.
-
At your planning meeting, your NDIS contact will inform you if your plan is under the PACE system. Each time you contact the NDIA, the operator will also remind you which computer system your plan is under.
-
The new PACE plan will be accessible via your NDIS Portal and app. For more information click here
-
No. For longer plans, you will receive the same budget for each year. This means you get an annual amount to manage and spend on the supports and services you need to pursue your goals.
You won’t be able to dip into the next year’s funds if your funding runs out, so it’s important to manage your budget carefully each year. Your budgets will be indexed annually in July based on any changes in price limits, as is currently the case.
-
The way people apply to access the NDIS is changing.
If you are aged 9-65 and think you meet the NDIS access requirements you can contact your local NDIS office or NDIS partner. This person can then help connect you to disability supports in your local area or support you to apply for the NDIS, if you’re eligible.
If you’re applying on behalf of a child younger than 9, then you need to connect with an early childhood partner. For more information on what the early childhood approach look like then click here. Before you connect with an early childhood partner you may want to ask the questions Do you need early intervention?
To find an early childhood partner, visit the NDIS website. If there are none in your area, contact the NDIS on 1800 800 110.
If you live in a remote or very remote area, have complex support needs or are in a hospital or justice setting, contact the NDIS for assistance. They can help you apply if you’re eligible. Or you can complete the NDIS access request form.

Your NDIS Plan will show a whole dollar figure for each support type rather than as a line-by-line cost, giving you more flexibility over how you use your total budget.
For example, you will see your Core supports budget as a total figure, allowing you to use it flexibly across assistance with daily living, social and community participation, and consumables supports.
Capacity Building may still include stated supports that must be spent on specified supports or services. These funds cannot be spent flexibly on anything else.
